Neil Blomcamp’s feature film “District 9″, produced by Peter Jackson

I now, openly and deliberately, contributing my 1/1000000 in creating the buzz, the marketers of the forthcoming Neil Blomkamp’s feature film, “Distring 9″, counted i would. But it’s worth it! This new project is produced  by Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings) and directed by Neil Blomcamp, a director of short films and advertisements who seem to really get how the Sci-fi film of the future will be written. Tight scripts, documentaristic and photo-realistic style as if it got out of the news, he blends the lifes of the terrestrial and the extraterestrial in a way very few had done so far. His scripts always have a different take that put him on the list with the hot, pioneering directors in the film industry. Let’ s wait and see but i would bet all my money on this south african, 29 years old guy, who has a lot to say. In this marketing campaign, the transmedia storytelling and planning will be employed  to  draw funs into the non- linear brand narrative in order to create the desired self-sustained brand community and a more complex brand world. Neil first came to our attention when he directed the Halo 3 short films promoting the game. These shorts were part of a huge integrated campaign and contributed to the most succesfull launching in the entertainment history.
